Delirium is a frequently encountered syndrome
that negatively impacts on the well-being of the critically ill patient.
Although international guidelines promote delirium monitoring, little is known
regarding Irish intensive care (ICU) nurses’ opinions and current practice in
relation to delirium monitoring.
